Part three\, Gastroenterologist Dr Hooi Ee will discuss the appropriate use of colonoscopies including when to start and stop surveillance for patients; how to communicate the benefits and risk to patients\, and when to refer a patient back to the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program after a colonoscopy. \nOn the morning of Tuesday 6 September an email will be sent to registered attendees which will contain a link to join the webinar. You will be able to join the webinar by clicking the link. Please note time the webinar will start at 6.00pm AWST\, 7.30pm ACST\, and 8.00pm AEST. \n5 minutes – Welcome and introductions \n40 minutes – Presentations \n\nDr Hooi Ee – Gastroenterologist & Head of Department\, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital\n\n15 minutes – Questions & discussion \nLearning outcomes \n\nRecall how to communicate with patients the harm-to-benefit ratio of using colonoscopy for screening in average-risk populations\nDescribe the appropriate use of surveillance colonoscopies including when they should be initiated and ceased.\nIdentify when a patient who has had a colonoscopy can be referred back to the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program\n\n\nThis activity is pending accreditation under ACRRM PDP\, and the RACGP CPD Program – Activity ID: 362240 \n
