Covering medical emergencies\, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children\, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training. REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. DESCRIPTION:WHEN: 25 to 29 October 2021\nWHERE: Bunbury (clinic site to be advised)\nFee: $165* (incl gst) for 2-4 hour sessions. \nJoin us in an innovative community project\, where improving the quality of life for individual’s after a cancer diagnosis is our goal. Oncology patients with movement impairments and skin changes such as stiffness or thickness\, weakness\, pain and pins/needles /tingling will be booked into assessment and treatment sessions with Denise Stewart at the BUNBURY POP-UP ONCOLOGY CLINIC. \nBench marking sessions will be available throughout the clinic and will include:\n1.Sitting in on patient sessions. There will be no opportunity for hands-on practice with the patient during benchmark sessions.\n2.A 15min debrief session with Denise Stewart. \nDenise Stewart is an Occupational Therapist and has been providing rehabilitation services to breast cancer survivors over 3 decades. As a private service provider\, Denise developed innovative methods of assessment to uncover hidden and often unknown impairments. DESCRIPTION:23 – 24 October 2021 \nThe Rural Health West CPD REACT+ workshop is designed to assist Western Australian Visiting Medical Practitioners to maintain their emergency knowledge and skills\, and gain formal assessment towards their emergency credentialing\, as required by WA Country Health Service. Covering medical emergencies\, major trauma and cardiac arrest in adults and children\, and associated lifesaving procedural skills training. REACT+ is a highly interactive workshop. Participants are provided with audiovisual pre-learning materials and the course consists almost entirely of small group practical skills stations and simulated scenarios. \nEligibility:  All medical practitioners are welcome to register with priority given to currently practising rural and remote medical practitioners. \nLength: Two days. 8.00am-5.00pm \nCost: $2\,420 (incl GST).\nThe cost of this workshop is subsidised by WA Country Health Service through the Better Medical Care Initiative. \nAccreditation: This workshop has accreditation with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) for continuing professional development points/hours and is approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program\, Emergency Grant component.  We do ask participants to contact their relevant college to ascertain your eligibility for the grant prior to attending. \nThis education workshop is proudly delivered by Rural Health West in partnership with WA Country Health Service\, through the Better Medical Care Initiative. \nREGISTER HERE.
