SUMMARY:South West Health Research Forum
DESCRIPTION:Due to unforeseen circumstances\, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the South West Health Research Forum. While we have had a positive attendance response\, our decision to postpone this event is in response to the evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation understanding that many clinicians are facing increasing demand.  A new date will be set soon. \nThe South West Health Research Forum offers a unique experience of inspiration\, learning and networking for those undertaking or interested in pursuing health research projects to address emerging rural and remote health issues in the south-west Western Australia. \nAbout the Forum \nThe Lishman Health Foundation has collaborated with Rural Health West\, Edith Cowan University\, St John of God Bunbury Hospital\, WA Country Health Service and WA Primary Health Alliance to facilitate a South West Health Research Forum. \nIn a first for the South West\, the forum will bring together research leaders\, researchers and health practitioners from Australian universities and South West clinical settings to share current rural and regional health research  activity and explore potential opportunities to grow health research in the region. \nWe are fortunate to have Professor Gary Geelhoed\, Executive Director WA Health Translation Network as the lead facilitator for the forum.  Clinical Professor Alan James\, Chair Busselton Population Medical Research Institute\, will present along with other researchers from WA Universities\, Monash University and the University of Newcastle. \nThe forum will provide the opportunity for delegates to learn\, mentor\, contribute and network. \nHealth practitioners and researchers currently undertaking research have the opportunity to present a printed poster at the forum\, and to engage attendees in rich discussion of their research during lunch and afternoon tea.  Please see full details on the website. \n
