webinar: The power of stories: navigating the journey of kidney disease for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet is hosting a webinar on Thursday 30 July 2020 with guest presenters Kelli Owen from the National Indigenous Kidney Transplantation Taskforce (NIKTT), and Dr Janet Kelly and Kate Schwartzkopff from the University of Adelaide. The webinar will be followed by an open Q & A session. The webinar will run for approximately 40 minutes and is free to attend.

The power of stories: navigating the journey of kidney disease for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will provide an overview of kidney health among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The webinar will be led by Gemma West, Research Officer at the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet. It will include an introduction by Neil Drew, Director of the HealthInfoNet. Guest presenter Kelli Owen will share her journey of kidney disease from diagnosis to transplant, and her continued work in this field. Dr Janet Kelly and Kate Schwartzkopff will discuss collaborations, trends and timelines for kidney health among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations.
