Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been increasingly diagnosed in recent years with international estimates of up to 1 in 68 people. Psychologists play a vital role in screening, diagnosis, and development of appropriate supports and interventions for individuals diagnosed with ASD across the lifespan. Practice may be targeted at core characteristics of social communication and restricted behaviours/interests, as well as common co-morbidities such as challenging behaviour and mental health. Pharmaceutical Society of Australia presents an Antimicrobial Stewardship Facilitated workshop Antimicrobial resistance is a one of the greatest threats to human health. Pharmacists, as medicines experts, have a role in antimicrobial stewardship in all areas of practice. There is also a critical responsibility of pharmacists to educate other health care professionals on the use of antimicrobials. This session aims to educate pharmacists on this issue and help them feel confident referring to guidelines and promoting antimicrobial stewardship strategies.
