Benzathine penicillin now available for the Doctors bag
Benzathine benzlypenicillin (Bicillin L-A) is now on the Emergency Drug Supply Schedule (Prescribers Bag – view here). This makes it much easier for GPs to treat patients with syphilis which is important in view of increasing syphilis rates across the whole of WA, especially in the remote regions.
