ACHSM webcast: The Impacts of COVID-19 On Hospital Planning – Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project Case Study

ACHSM is pleased to welcome Sam Betros, Project Director, Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment Project as our December webcast guest speaker.

Located in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland and approximately 50km from Brisbane’s CBD and is considered to be the northern most urban area of the greater Brisbane metropolitan region.

Caboolture Hospital is a regional hospital that provides a range of clinical services to Caboolture and surrounding communities. It is undergoing a major expansion and redevelopment to build a bigger and better hospital with more health services and car parking for the community.

By 2023, the $394.6 million project will deliver a new five storey Clinical Services Building, 130 new beds, refurbished spaces in the existing hospital, expanded health services and a new Multi-Storey Carpark.

CHRP had completed Schematic Design pre pandemic. Following the announcement of COVID19 as a pandemic, there was a commitment to review the design of the new hospital to ensure that it reflected the learnings from management of COVID and mitigated the impact of possible future pandemics.
