Engaging Men in Health Programs

Cancer Council WA invites you to an interactive session with international Healthway Visiting Fellow, Professor Kate Hunt from the University of Stirling.

This unique event is targeted at local policy makers, health professionals and community organisations and aims to:

• Upskill health promotion researchers and practitioners in the development, delivery and evaluation of gender-sensitised and evidence-based nutrition and physical activity promotion programs.
• Support research and health promotion teams to improve implementation and translation strategies for successful interventions and programs.
• Stimulate debate and raise awareness of the issues and potential solutions when delivering health interventions via sports organisations that also endorse sponsors that promote unhealthy food/drink/behaviours.

Join Professor Hunt for a presentation on strategies to attract and engage men in health promotion programs, followed by an interactive Q&A session where attendees are encouraged to discuss local issues, constraints and opportunities.
