You will learn key concepts related to effective brief communication of nutrition messages, common misconceptions in the about diet with regard to early intervention and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and when referral to a dietitian for medical nutrition therapy is warranted.
The East Metropolitan Health Service in partnership with the University of Newcastle funded by the Health Networks Unit has developed three-week online courses as part of the implementation of the WA Healthy Weight Action Plan 2019 – 2024.
