Opening Closets Mental Health Training for those working with LGBTI people

The Opening Closets Mental Health Training aims to share information and develop skills for professionals working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex (LGBTI) populations. The training will focus on raising awareness of the specific needs of LGBTI mental health consumers and aims to develop worker capacity to appropriately respond to clients while promoting inclusive practice.

South West Suicide Prevention Coordination is funded by the Mental Health Commission of WA and hosted by St John of God Community Alcohol and Drug Service. We coordinate suicide prevention training for professionals working with those at risk of suicide as well as communities and individuals who come into contact with person’s at risk. We also work with community and stakeholders to build community capacity to help prevent suicide.
