Pain Revolution orientation session (Zoom)

SWHPN member Francesco Di Mattia is a Physiotherapist with a strong interest in persistent pain working in the Bunbury-Geographe region.

He has recently received a scholarship from Pain Revolution as part of a nation-wide initiative to increase community awareness around persistent pain in rural and remote Australia. Pain Revolution is a non-profit organisation, led by Professor Lorimer Moseley, (AO), a leading world expert in the Pain Science arena.

The initiative

The scholarship funds the establishment of a community-based, interdisciplinary Local Pain Collective (LPC) of health professionals in the region. The LPC will provide peer support and structured learning exchanges in order to promote best-practice pain education and care. Our goal is to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to improve access to quality pain care and consistent messaging in our region.
